BLAST

BLAST (Bulls Leading And Serving Tampa) makes it easy to get connected to community service! BLAST works to develop new traditions of service at USF. These easy-access, one-time projects occur monthly and are geared towards bringing individual students and student organizations together for service. Whether you are a committed volunteer or are volunteering for the first time – BLAST projects are fun and meaningful!

Here are a few of the annual BLAST projects:

Community Plunge

This annual kick-off to the community service year occurs at the start of each Fall semester. Hundreds of USF students come out to volunteer together in the Tampa Bay area.

 

Gandhi Day of Service

This event brings together student groups from across campus and across cultures to celebrate and live Gandhi’s message of peace and service.

 

American Heart Walk

Students join faculty and staff along with thousands of community walkers to raise awareness and funds for the American Heart Association.

 

Foster Angels

This holiday toy drive bring the USF community together to provide gifts for children in Hillsborough County Foster Care.

 

Senior Citizen Prom

Students spend an evening socializing and dancing with local senior citizens. Games, food, live music and tons of fun!
