Descriptions of Annual Service Projects
This annual kick-off to the community service year occurs at the start of each Fall semester. Hundreds of USF students come out to volunteer together in the Tampa Bay area. August 23, 2014.
Gandhi Day of Service
This annual event has been cancelled for the 2014-2015 academic year. With two other days of service similar to Gandhi Day on our annual calendar (CHARGE and Stampede of Service) the decision was made to cancel Gandhi Day and explore new programming that will help us better meet our mission of empowering and educating students like you to make a positive social change, and we believe we can do this more effectively with new programming designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to better plan and organize your own service projects with our community partners on a consistent basis.
You are still highly encouraged to seek service opportunities in the month of October and anytime during the year! If you or your student organization would like more information about getting connected to a service opportunity in the absence of Gandhi Day, please complete this form
Stampede of Service: January 17th, 2015
From 9am to 12:30pm over 2,000 students will depart campus and serve at over 50 community partner sites across Tampa.
Senior Citizen Prom
Students spend an evening socializing and dancing with local senior citizens. Games, food, live music and tons of fun! Volunteers are needed to help decorate the ballroom, mingle with guests and to encourage senior citizens to dance throughout the evening.
